As apart of the 10th annual Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF), SlacklifeBC hosted the first ever Slacklife night. This action packed night included Unthethered and 2 other slackline films as well as presentations from Spencer Seabrooke and photographer Bill Hawley.
An amazing and inspiration night that will hopefully get more people involved.

SkyPilot Mountain near Squamish was one of the first major mountain objects we decided to take on when first starting into mountaineering. Claiming several lives over the past few years, SkyPilot is a real mountain with real consequences.

Squamish has some of the most amazing landscapes, perfect for whatever your outdoor adventure might be. This beautiful and free areaattract people from all around the world. No matter what you do, it’s always the people you do it with, and meet along the way that create memories.
From the time I first rolled into camp a week before the festival to be happily greeted by already waiting guests, to a table of 32 people laughing 2 days after the festival was over, the entire week was full of happy faces. Some quite, some loud, some familiar, some new, some laughing, some scared but always happy and beautiful!

4:30 am – Leave Vancouver
9:30 am – Arrive at Mt Rainier National Park
11:30 am – Start hiking towards upper camp
2:00 pm – Half way up the never ending snow fields > 31 degrees C
4:30 pm – Arrive at upper Camp
5:30 pm – Eat the only meal of the day
6:30 pm – Attempt to sleep
11:15 pm – Start for the summit
4:15 am – 14 500 feet – The summit of Mt. Rainer
11:45 am – Arrive back at the car
1:45 pm – Drinking beers and eating pizza!
