How To – Sewn Loops

Sewn loops on the end of your slackline webbing can make rigging the static side nice and easy.  Simply attach the main loop to your rated anchor using a rated connection, clip off the backup loop, and done.

Sewn loops provide an easy connection point that maintains more than 90% of the webbing’s breaking strength.

Sewn Loop Configuration

You can see from the sewn loop configuration above, to avoid applying additional lateral stress on the ‘main’ loop stitches, it is important to load the ‘main’ loop rather than the ‘Backup’ loop.
